rtwrld is run by Alain Brusch in Basel, Switzerland. For any privacy question or request, write to privacy@rtwrld.app.

In the game

You don't need an account. Your save, including the name you give your character, stays on your phone.

The game sends anonymous usage data so we can see what works and whether players come back:

• A random ID created when you install the game. It isn't linked to your name, email or Apple account.
• What happens in play, such as starting a chapter, a choice you made in the story, a work you bought or consigned, a quiz answer, or an ending you reached.
• The game version, the in-game day and your device platform.

This data goes to PostHog, on its EU servers. We've set it to discard IP addresses, and we keep the data for up to one year.

To stop it, open Menu in the game and turn off Anonymous usage data. This also clears anything waiting to be sent. Deleting the game removes the random ID. Because data already sent isn't tied to you, we can't pick out and delete yours afterwards.

Notifications are scheduled on your phone and don't send us anything.

On the waitlist

If you join, we store your email address, the time you joined, where the link came from, and which version of the page you saw. This is stored with Supabase, on servers in Zurich.

We use your email only to tell you about rtwrld, and we rely on your consent to do so. We keep it until you leave the list or we no longer need it for the launch. To leave, write to the address above.

On this website

This site uses no cookies and no analytics. It is hosted by Vercel, which handles technical request data such as IP addresses in order to serve the pages. Vercel may process this data outside Switzerland and the EU.

Your rights

We don't sell your data or use it for advertising. You can ask to see, correct or delete what we hold about you, or withdraw your consent, at the address above. You can also complain to your data protection authority. In Switzerland, that is the FDPIC.

Children

rtwrld isn't aimed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their email addresses.
